We also offer in-service teacher and school leadership training programs at regional and national levels. In our teacher and leadership training we focus on the understanding of pedagogy and leadership that are relevant for debate about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Sub-Saharan Francophone African countries.
Our Continuous professional development (CPD) programs have a significant impact on teachers in terms of updating their skills and knowledge and reflection on practice. Teacher education, teacher development and school leadership are at the centre of our training programs because the quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers and school leadership. The focus on quality in 2030 agenda rightly emphasizes a concern with teachers, teaching and teacher education.
